In the 2012 Olympics she won gold both on the floor for the team and in individual events. The bronze was won with the balance bar. In the end, she became the first American at the Olympics with the top amount of medals. Her gold medal during the Olympics in 2016 was her second gold in a row for the US team. This made her, together with her fellow teammate Gabby one of the very first Americans to accomplish this accomplishment. Also, silver medals were awarded in both the all-around individual as well as floor workouts. Between the two Olympics she took off from competitive gymnastics for 3 years. Additionally, she was part of the gold medal winning American teams in the two World Championships. Her favorite event is the floor exercise. The gymnastics training began at the age of two years old. Aly has enrolled in the Uniting Against Lung Cancer group to honor her late grandma. In the future, she is planning to create a profession in fashion. She would also like to extend her leotards line and her socks. Fierce is due to be released in the summer of this year.
